The town buildings and footpath appear quiet, wrapped in the cold calm of early January. 2. February A dark-fleeced sheep stands alert in a frosty field at Castle Hill. Behind it, the historic earthworks rise gently with a long wooden staircase leading to the summit. The early morning sun casts a warm golden light, picking up on the sheep’s texture and highlighting the still-sleepy landscape of late winter. 3. March Early spring comes to life by the riverside in Thetford. A mill building with a red-tiled roof stands by the water, framed by fresh green leaves just beginning to bud. The river flows gently beneath low branches, catching glints of light from the sky above. It’s a peaceful, awakening moment marking the change of seasons. 4. April A tiny bird perches on a lichen-covered branch, nestled amongst bright green pine needles. The bird looks directly at the camera, framed by soft, dappled sunlight filtering through the trees. It’s a quiet, close-up glimpse of nature in spring, full of curiosity and life. 5. May A lively VE Day celebration unfolds on a sunny village green. October Golden leaves line a winding path through Castle Park as the sun rises in the distance. Trees are turning amber and brown, and the path is flanked by banks of fallen leaves and low fences.
