1. Booking of advertising space in the About Thetford magazine will only be confirmed upon receipt of a completed booking form and, where applicable, a company purchase order number supplied by the
customer. Registered charities need to supply charity registration number.
2. The copy deadline for all adverts and editorial features is the 15th of the month prior to publication. Copy received after this date cannot be guaranteed to be included in the About Thetford magazine, although every effort will be made to accommodate late requests. In and About Thetford Ltd reserves the right to alter the stated publication date, if necessary. Where artwork for adverts are supplied by the customer, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that any files supplied are accurate, legal, copyright free and conform to the British Code of Advertising Practice, accurately refiecting the product and or service being advertised. It is the customers responsibility to ensure all files and copy can be supplied in an accepted format: currently either PDF or JPEG.
3. All artwork created by In and About Thetford or its suppliers on behalf of the customer will be supplied for proofing to the customer prior to copy deadline. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that all copy and artwork is proofed and checked thoroughly for any errors before being signed off. Once the artwork has been checked and signed off by the customer, In and About Thetford can take no responsibility for any errors found at a later date and takes no responsibility for loss or damage resulting in an advert being incorrect.
4. In and About Thetford reserves the right to refuse to publish advertising which may be defamatory or offensive, or which promote products that may be considered indecent or illegal. In and About Thetford can make no guarantee that any advertising will be successful and takes no responsibility for results generated from any advertising.
5. The copyright for all artwork for adverts produced by In and About Thetford on behalf of the customer is owned solely by In and About Thetford Ltd. In and About Thetford will provide copies/proofs of the advertisement for approval by the customer prior to publication, but this does not in any way infer ownership or permission of this copy/proof for use by the customer and as such must not be stored, either digitally or physically, by the customer once approval has been given, nor reproduced or redistributed to third parties without permission of In and About Thetford.
6. If the customer wishes to use any material or artwork produced by In and About Thetford in other publications, the customer will be required to ask permission, in writing, to In and About Thetford Ltd. Invoices must be settled in before permission will be given.
Copyright
7. All content of the About Thetford magazine and the website are protected by copyright and are owned entirely by In and About Thetford Ltd. All content or design, either in print or online, may not be
reproduced, either whole of part thereof, without first obtaining written permission from In and About Thetford Ltd. Failure to obtain written permission will result in legal action where full costs will be covered by any person or business.
8. Readers of the magazine are reminded that In and About Thetford accepts no liability for loss, damage or difficulties resulting from contracts between them and the customer, nor from errors, omissions or claims made by the customer. Inclusion within the publication does not imply a recommendation.
9. In and About Thetford reserves the right to remove any advertising from customers who are deemed to have brought the magazine into disrepute or which have been requested to be removed by the relevant legal or regulatory authorities without notice and without recourse. Refunds will not be made, and full payment may still be levied on the customer for the period booked.
Payment
10. All invoices raised by In and About Thetford shall detail when payment is required by. Invoices which are overdue for a period in excess of fourteen days from the invoice due date for any services will be subject to credit control procedures. In and About Thetford reserves the right to charge the customer for any external credit control services used in relation to recover the customers outstanding debt and In and About Thetford also reserves the right to charge compound interest on any debts older than fourteen days from the due date on the invoice. The outstanding account may then be handed to our third party debt recovery agency to recover any outstanding debt and any additional costs arising therewith. The customer will be solely liable for any extra costs arising from the procedures in recovering the outstanding debt.
The credit control procedures may or may not include the filing of a County Court Order.
Cancellation
11. Cancellation of advertising space should be made in writing, no later than the 15th of the month prior to the next issue. If advertising space has been booked for multiple issues and a discount rate has been applied when the cancellation occurs, In and About Thetford Ltd reserves the right to apply the one issue booking rate for all advertisements booked. This increased rate will apply and further invoices will be issued to collect the additional costs relating to the one issue booking rate. Failure to cancel within the above mentioned timescale will incur full payment.
Data Protection
12. All customer details are kept strictly confidential and will never be passed to a third- party (unless required to do so under legal or regulatory statute). Contact details of customers (apart from those
established in the magazine) will not be provided to third-parties without prior consent. These Terms and Conditions are formed under the laws of England and Wales and any legal claim shall be made in a court via the legal system of England and Wales.
Changes to Terms and Conditions
13. In and About Thetford, at all times, reserves the right to change the Terms and Conditions set out herein this document without prior written notice to any of its customers and any subsequent changes
will become applicable immediately. No claims will be entered into which may not have been applicable in previous revisions of this document which are subsequently made provision for. Any claims by any customer will only be acceptable on grounds outside the current revision of this document.

Bookings made after this date cannot be guaranteed, although every effort will be made to accommodate late requests. In & About Thetford Ltd reserves the right to alter the stated publication date, if necessary. Where leaflets are supplied by the customer, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that any files supplied are accurate, legal, copyright free and conform to the British Code of Advertising Practice, accurately reflecting the product and or service being advertised. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure all leaflets are in the correct format, currently no larger than A5.

In & About Thetford ltd can make no guarantee that any advertising will be successful for loss or damage resulting in advertising being incorrect.

No Variation
These Terms cannot be varied except with the express written agreement of About Thetford. We may change these Terms at any time and it is your sole responsibility to check online for any changes before you offer any Work. Any Work supplied to us for use is deemed to have been supplied in acceptance of the most recent version of the Terms as displayed on the website at the time of your contribution or commission. Your continued or renewed contribution of Work after such changes are posted means you agree to be bound by these Terms as they have been amended.
Your Warranties and Indemnity
- It is your own original work (or you have the right to authorise us to use the Work).
- You have obtained any necessary consent or licence required for our use of the Work under this agreement and our acceptance or use of the Work will not infringe any person’s rights, including copyright and other intellectual property rights, performance rights, or rights of privacy or confidentiality, data protection or any other right.
- In producing your Work you have complied with the Data Protection Act 1998.
- Your Work is not defamatory of any person or other legal entity; and
our acceptance or use of the Work will not put us in contempt of court or otherwise in breach of civil or criminal law (including laws relating to harassment, trespass, bribery or disclosure of personal data). - We reserve the right not to use or to remove the Work supplied without giving prior notice or explanation.
Grant of Rights in the Work
The legal copyright in the Work is retained by you. By your agreement to these Terms, you give us the rights in the Work which are set out below. Subject to these Terms, our rights in the Work are non-exclusive, which means that you can also use the Work as you wish at the same time as we use it.
While you retain copyright in the Work, We shall have the following rights (some of which may overlap), which are worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable and sub-licensable:
- The right to use and re-use the Work in any of our Publications or Social Media Platforms;
- The right to edit, amend, cut, translate or otherwise alter your Work as we may consider appropriate.
- The right to use the title, format and any pseudonym associated with the Work; and
- The right to use the Work and any image of you or other personal details for the purposes of publicity or marketing or any other purpose in connection with the exercise of our rights under this agreement with you.
If you exercise any of your retained rights in respect of the Work, you agree to ensure that your use will not conflict with our use of the Work or any other of our legitimate commercial interests, and you will procure an acknowledgement to us and our relevant Publication in any further use you might make of your Work, together with a link to the Work on our relevant website wherever possible.
You acknowledge that as a matter of law moral rights do not arise in connection with current affairs reporting or any publication in newspapers or magazines, but to the extent that moral rights may be applicable to any use of a Work permitted under this agreement you waive all such moral rights unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing with the Editor. However we will try to maintain author’s by-lines in our Publication where we can.
We reserve the right to seek from you a written assignment of copyright if we think it necessary.
No obligation
We are not under any obligation to use your Work. No Work is accepted under these Terms unless and until it is expressly accepted in writing (including email) by the Assistant Editor or by an authorised person acting on the Editor’s behalf or it is actually used by us as permitted under this agreement.
Our Editorial Standards
Our reputation is very important to us. You agree that you will produce the Work to the highest professional and ethical standards, including compliance with the Editorial Code of Practice of the Independent Press Standards Organisation.
We reserve the right to reject a Work that in our opinion:
- does not comply with the Editorial Code of Practice or which otherwise puts you in breach of these Terms; or
- does not achieve a suitable standard of editorial quality.
In respect of any Work of yours that has been accepted or used by us:
- You will tell the Editor without delay if you become aware at any time of any information that may cast doubt on information or claims affecting or contained in your Work or any other legal or compliance risk relating to the Work; and
- If you become aware of any complaint about your Work at any time, you should not reply to the complainant but rather notify the Editor immediately in writing.
We will have sole control over the handling of any complaint about your Work and you will cooperate fully with us in order to resolve it. You will ensure that you keep all your notes and research materials and, if we ask, you will provide us with such notes and materials, together with all other relevant background information and access to your sources where reasonably necessary for compliance or legal purposes. You will not mention or discuss a complaint with any person without the Editor’s prior written approval.
Terms and Conditions for In and About Thetford Ltd Competitions.
- The closing date is stated on each individual prize draw or competition.
- Only one entry per prize draw/competition, per reader.
- All prizes are subject to availability, and In & About Thetford Ltd reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative product or colour of equal or higher value if necessary at the promoters’ discretion.
- No purchase necessary.
- Prize draws and competitions are only open to UK residents aged 18 years or over.
- The promotions are not open to employees of In & About Thetford Ltd or employees of any partner organisation/company directly connected with each individual competition.
- Winner(s) will be selected at random after the closing date by the Editorial Team or partner organisation/company from all entries received. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Winner(s) will be notified by email or telephone (using the details provided at entry) within 2 weeks of the closing date. Following such notification, the winner will be required to send In & About Thetford Ltd full details of their postal address to which the Prize will be delivered (if applicable).
- If the Promoter cannot: (i) contact the winner (via the details provided at the date of entry) within a reasonable period of time (to be established at the Promoter’s sole discretion); or (ii) the winner does not return details of its postal address to the Promoter within 14 days of notification that they have won the Prize, the Promoter reserves the right to re-draw a winner of the Promotion and thereafter until a winner on these terms is found.
- Please allow 21 days for delivery of the Prize. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for the Prize being lost, damaged or delayed in the post.
- By entering any of In & About Thetford Ltd prize draws and competitions you agree to having your name, details and photo published online or in a future issue of About Thetford Magazine and competition features on the social media platforms belonging to In & About Thetford Ltd, Leaping Hare CIC & any other associated promoter. The information you provide will be processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and with current GDPR legislation. In & About Thetford Ltd and Leaping Hare CIC will keep this information securely and in confidence, and will not pass it on to anyone else. The information will be solely to keep you informed of events, competitions and other activities linked with About Thetford magazine and Leaping Hare CIC; it will not be used for any other purpose.

Terms and Conditions for Thetford Treasure Trails
1. Voucher Terms and Conditions
- Eligibility: This voucher is valid only for use by the recipient and may not be transferred, sold, or redeemed for cash or credit unless required by applicable law. Use of this voucher is subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with all terms and conditions.
- Validity Period: This voucher is valid from 7th December 2024 to 21st January 2025, after which it will automatically expire and no longer be valid for use. Expired vouchers will not be accepted.
- Exclusions: Certain items or services may be excluded from the discount, at the discretion of .
- One-Time Use Only: Each offer on the voucher is valid for one-time use only and may not be reused, redeemed, or applied to more than one transaction. Upon successful redemption, the voucher will be marked with a stamp to indicate that it has been used. Any attempt to reuse, duplicate, or alter the voucher will render it void.
- Non-Transferability: This voucher is non-transferable and may only be used by the individual to whom it was issued. Any attempt to transfer the voucher or its benefits to another party will render it void.
- No Cash Value: The voucher has no cash value and may not be exchanged for cash or credit unless required by applicable law.

- Governing Law: These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, and any disputes arising from the use of this voucher will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.

2. Trail Participation Terms and Conditions
- Acknowledgement of Risk: By participating in the trail organised by In and About Thetford LTD, participants understand and acknowledge that the trail involves certain risks, including but not limited to walking or moving through urban areas, uneven pavements, traffic, weather conditions, and other hazards that may result in personal injury, illness, or, in rare cases, death. Participation in the trail is at the participant’s own risk.
- Waiver of Liability: In and About Thetford LTD and its employees, agents, volunteers, contractors, or any other affiliates (collectively, “The Organisers”) shall not be held liable for any personal injury, illness, property damage, or death arising from the participant’s involvement in the trail, including any accidents, falls, or incidents that may occur before, during, or after the event. This waiver of liability applies whether such injury, illness, or death is caused by negligence, recklessness, or any other cause.
- Indemnification: The participant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless In and About Thetford LTD, its employees, agents, and affiliates, from and against any claims, demands, damages, liabilities, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from the participant’s own actions or omissions during the trail.
- Medical Considerations: Participants are responsible for ensuring that they are in appropriate physical condition to undertake the trail and for disclosing any medical conditions or other factors that may affect their ability to participate. In and About Thetford LTD does not assume any responsibility for the medical fitness or safety of participants.
- Severability: If any part of this waiver and release is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
- Acceptance of Terms: By participating in the trail, the participant confirms that they have read, understood, and voluntarily agree to these terms and conditions.
3. General Terms
- Changes to Terms: In and About Thetford LTD reserves the right to amend or modify these terms and conditions at any time without notice, including changes to the voucher and trail terms, and to terminate or cancel any promotion or event at its discretion.
- Privacy: Participants and voucher recipients agree that In and About Thetford LTD may collect and process their personal data for the purposes of administering the voucher and/or trail event. All personal data will be processed in accordance with In and About Thetford LTD‘s Privacy Policy.
- Force Majeure: In and About Thetford LTD shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in fulfilling its obligations under these terms and conditions if such failure or delay is caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, civil unrest, or acts of government.
Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, and any disputes arising from the use of the voucher or participation in the trail will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.
