Local resident Travis Sturman, 20, is preparing to take on the National Three Peaks Challenge this July to raise money for Norwich Community Sports Foundation.

Participants in blue “Pier 2 Pier Challenge 2024” T-shirts walk down sandy steps through beach grass during the East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) fundraiser event. One man in sunglasses is in the foreground, while another gives a thumbs up mid-step. Volunteers and signage are visible at the top of the steps beneath an overcast sky.

“I experienced severe bullying during school, but joining the Breckland Youth Advisory Board helped me turn things around. It gave me the confidence, resources and support to challenge myself and complete goals.

Last year, I raised £1,450 for charity by walking 34 miles in the Pier 2 Pier challenge.

This year, I’ve decided to take on the National Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for Norwich Community Sports Foundation. They help people with disabilities get involved in sport – things like wheelchair basketball and football – and support their mental health and wellbeing too.

The challenge takes place on 4-5 July 2025. If you’d like to support me and donate to this amazing cause, it would be really appreciated.”
