Thetford Rugby Club continues to thrive at the heart of our sporting community, offering competitive rugby, a welcoming atmosphere and opportunities for senior players of all experience levels.

As the club looks to strengthen its senior squad, new players are warmly encouraged to get involved – whether you’re returning to the sport, trying it for the first time or simply looking for a team that values hard work, camaraderie and plenty of laughs along the way.
Recent weeks have showcased exactly what Thetford rugby is all about. On 17th January, the squad travelled to Holt and delivered their strongest defensive performance of the season, securing a well-earned 24-12 victory. Tireless tackling, discipline and unity across the park set the tone for a memorable away win.
A week later, Thetford returned home in style, producing a dominant 55-5 display against Medics at Two Mile Bottom. Strong forward carries and trademark pace from the backs saw the scoreboard tick over, with tries from Aaron Eagle (2), Matt King, Ollie Scott, Curtis King (2) and Connor Sillet (2). Despite the scoreline, the match was played in great spirit, with Medics showing real determination throughout.
Most recently, Thetford faced a tough challenge against a resurgent Beccles side, falling 59-21 in a relocated fixture at Broadland on Saturday 14th February. Despite the result, Thetford’s resilience shone through, crossing for three well-worked tries and battling to the final whistle.
With plenty of rugby still to come, now is the perfect time to join Thetford Rugby Club – where every player matters and the community is second to none. For more information, email: Thetford-RFC@outlook.com
