Thetford Pumpkin Trail returns for 2025

One of Thetford’s most loved community events has made its return – The annual Thetford Pumpkin Trail is taking place on the Cloverfields estate this Halloween!

Three carved pumpkins displayed on a green tablecloth outdoors, against a brick wall. Each pumpkin has a comical face made with wide toothy grins and plastic eyeball decorations stuck into them. The yellow pumpkin on the left looks like it’s “being sick,” with pumpkin seeds spilling from its mouth. The middle and right pumpkins grin widely, with green wire “arms” and props like small bottles labelled “Witch’s Brew” and “Poison.” A fun and spooky Halloween scene.

Now in its fifth year, Thetford Pumpkin Trail features all kinds of frightfully creative displays, from painted pumpkins to carved creations, to entertain you and your little ones this half-term.

There are prizes to be won, you can vote for your favourite display, and it’s free to take part — all you need is your trail map to guide you around the Cloverfields estate and help you find the spooky displays.

This year’s event started on Saturday 25th October and runs throughout half term, finishing on Friday 31st October — just in time for trick-or-treating! Free maps for the trail are available from Thetford Garden Centre, Tesco, Busy Bees Nursery on Mallow Road, and Location Location in Bridge Street.

Get your walking shoes ready, and make sure to scan the QR code and follow the Thetford Pumpkin Trail Facebook page for updates and more details about the event, including special prizes to be won!
