Thetford Rugby Club enjoyed a brilliant day of rugby, community spirit, and hard work on Saturday 2nd August, as members came together for a busy pre-season club day.

Volunteers rolled up their sleeves to tackle a wide range of jobs around the grounds, making sure everything was ready for the season ahead. As a thank you, all those who pitched in were treated to a hearty free breakfast that set the tone for a day full of energy and camaraderie.
In the afternoon, the atmosphere was further lifted with a barbecue, bringing together players, coaches, and volunteers for some well-earned food and socialising. The sense of togetherness was clear, with every corner of the club buzzing with conversation, laughter, and pride in what had been achieved.
The highlight of the day came with a special coaching clinic led by Will Findlay, a member of the Leicester Tigers strength and conditioning team. Will, who has family ties to the club, returned with top-level expertise and family pride. His session with the players was filled with insight, practical drills, and motivation, giving everyone a taste of professional standards.
It was a memorable occasion that captured everything Thetford RFC stands for: hard work, friendship, and a passion for rugby. The club now looks forward to carrying that energy into the season ahead. Training takes place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7pm.
New players are always welcome. For more information on joining the club please email: Thetford-RFC@outlook.com
