Many people do not realise that GP practices have defined practice boundaries, meaning that if you have moved into a new area, your previous surgery may no longer be able to provide your ongoing care. We often find that people only discover this when they become unwell and need an appointment, which can add unnecessary stress at a time when they are already worried about their health.
Registering with a local surgery before you need medical care means that your records can be transferred from your previous practice, your details can be updated and everything is in place should you need advice, treatment or support in the future. It also helps ensure you can access important services such as vaccinations, screening programmes, repeat prescriptions and long-term condition reviews without delay.

Whilst we are separate practices, we work closely together, alongside Watton Medical Practice, as part of the Breckland Alliance Primary Care Network.
