Honington Military Wives Choir need your support to sing in Ypres

The Honington Military Wives Choir is proud to be part of the Military Wives Choirs charity, uniting women within the military community through the uplifting power of song.

A choir of fifteen women dressed in coordinated long black outfits poses in a line outside a historic stone church with arched windows and decorative brickwork. The women, standing arm-in-arm with hands on hips, smile confidently toward the camera. Some wear sparkling tops or floral accessories. The church's intricate architecture and greenery provide a picturesque backdrop.

With over 70 choirs across the UK and overseas, the charity connects women in the military community to sing, share, and support one another. These choirs offer a sense of belonging, resilience and friendship, forming a vital part of the community’s fabric.

The choir has been invited to sing at the Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate on 25th October 2025 – a profoundly significant event commemorating those who gave their lives in military service during World War One.

To attend, the choir must raise funds to cover travel and accommodation costs. “Your support will make a real difference, helping us add our voices to this tribute and represent our community with pride,” said a choir member.
