The group performed a variety of carols, conducted Chris Parsons. As well as being the Singers’ Musical Director, Chris has toured Europe as a trumpeter, and appeared at the BBC Proms!

The group, which has ran for 40 years, has 60 members. Many of them had turned out for the carol concert, and their harmonies filled the church. Before this concert in Thetford, they had performed with a full orchestra at The Apex in Bury st. Edmunds.

They performed a variety of carols, including classics like “Hark the Herald Angels Sing” and “The Twelve Days of Christmas.” Some were more obscure – In the video below, the Singers perform “His Praises We’ll Sing,” by Alan Bullard.

The Thetford Singers perform throughout the year, with their next big Summer Concert coming in July 2025.
