In November 2025, the National Emergency Briefing brought together leading experts to present the latest evidence on the climate and nature crisis to politicians and other influential people in Westminster. The team behind this event has now turned the key messages into a 50-minute film, the People’s Emergency Briefing, which also features the responses and reactions of a number of well-known figures from Chris Packham to Konnie Huq. This film is being shown at community venues throughout the UK.
As a scientific, evidence-led organisation, the BTO is perfectly placed to host the film. Doors will open at 5pm, with stalls by local groups, music and light refreshments. The film itself will then be introduced by the BTO’s CEO, Prof Juliet Vickery, before the screening starts at 6pm. There will be time for a discussion afterwards, with the event drawing to a close at 7.30pm.
This free event is open to anybody, although it is not recommended for children under 16. If you would like to attend, please scan the QR code opposite or visit: tickettailor.com/events/britishtrustforornithology
