The Brecks Outdoor Festival 2026 is bigger and better than ever!

The Brecks Outdoor Festival returns for a third year from Saturday 8th to Sunday 23rd August. This festival celebrates the wild and unusual landscape of the Brecks, with a range of nature-inspired activities.

A group of five people take part in an outdoor yoga session on a grassy lawn beside reconstructed Anglo-Saxon buildings at West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village. Participants are practising a lunge pose with their arms raised towards the sky on colourful yoga mats. The evening scene is framed by thatched buildings, pine trees and a bright blue sky with scattered clouds, creating a peaceful countryside setting.

With 60 events across 25 different locations, this is the biggest festival yet. Whether you’re into swimming, cycling or dancing, want to try the Nordic walking technique or perhaps hone your drawing skills, there will be something for you!

In Thetford, Ancient House and the Charles Burrell Museum are running special festival events, and Thetford Town Council is hosting Wild Thetford in the Market Place to celebrate sounds and pollinators. Pop into the library on 22nd August and you can also help us create artwork for a new Brecks video game!

If you’re after adventure further afield, try our silent disco-style events on Knettishall Heath with Groove & Meditation on 10th August and Nature’s Rhythm on 12th August. Or you could take a trailer tour of the Elveden Estate, then enjoy an estate-grown meal. If there’s a young archaeologist in your life, West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village is holding two-day workshops for 7-13-year-olds.
