Thetford Players return this summer with Calendar Girls The Musical, a heartfelt and uplifting production based on the true story of Yorkshire WI members who created a nude calendar for charity.

The cast of Calendar Girls The Musical
Featuring music by Gary Barlow and a script by Tim Firth, this stage adaptation offers a fresh take on the much-loved story and its 2003 film.
The show is directed by Lynne Jeffries, with Rowan Charlotte Jeffries and Nadia Graversen as Musical Directors. The trio are the same creative team behind SIX Teen Edition (2024) and The Little Mermaid panto (2025). This iconic show brings together a strong cast with a mix of familiar faces and new performers.
Returning to the stage are Martin Godfrey, Phil Pearson, Zoran Hanitzsch, Anna Kedge, Janien Squires, Liz Burt, Emma Kelly, Linzi and Nat Holding, joined by Caroline Foot, Jo Cooper, Jo Van der Hulks and Sarah Greenwood, who step into the spotlight for the first time after working behind the scenes in roles such as directing, producing and stage management.
Adding a youthful energy to the production, the cast also includes Summer-Brooke Harvey, Austin Prior, Sebastian Donoghue and Danny Pidd.
Described by Barlow and Firth as a show for “craughing” – crying and laughing at the same time – Calendar Girls The Musical is a moving celebration of friendship, resilience and community spirit. At its heart, of course, is the iconic calendar photoshoot – because it wouldn’t be Calendar Girls without it.
If you want to see Thetford Players as you’ve never seen them before, be sure to book your tickets early – this is one show you won’t want to miss. Performances commence on Friday 10th and Saturday 11th July, suitable for ages 14+.
