Thetford Rugby Club continues to impress both on and off the pitch, with recent victories and a real sense of community spirit shining through in everything they do. Supporters have enjoyed another strong run of performances, matched by the dedication of the people who help keep the club moving forward.
November’s away fixture against North Walsham was another nail-biter. Thetford edged a 32–30 win, keeping supporters on the edge of their seats. Tries came from Pereira, Eagle and Lawrence, with two more from Man of the Match Harry Walters, whose work rate stood out all afternoon. Captain Curtis King praised the team’s resilience, especially against Walsham’s sharp-kicking number 10, whose accuracy kept the pressure on throughout. It was a hard-fought result and another example of Thetford digging deep when it mattered most.

Beyond the scoreboard, it’s the people behind the scenes who make Thetford Rugby Club special. One such figure is local photographer Ray J Thompson. Ray’s dedication – capturing matchday moments both at home and away – has not gone unnoticed. His images help bring the club’s energy and character to life, connecting players, families and supporters near and far. They have become part of how the club shares its story and celebrates its achievements and successes.
In recognition of his unwavering support, the club has invited Ray to a Vice Presidents’ luncheon as a guest of honour. It is a small gesture but one that reflects the gratitude felt across the club for his ongoing commitment.
Whether it’s the roar of the crowd or the click of Ray’s camera, Thetford Rugby Club continues to build something truly worth celebrating.
