Thetford Methodist Church has a full programme of festive events this December, offering many opportunities for the community to come together and celebrate Christmas.
On Thursday 4th December at 7pm, the church hosts the St Nicholas Hospice Care Light Up a Life Service, arranged by St Nicholas Hospice. A Christmas Lunch follows on Saturday 6th December at 12pm. Tickets are £10 per person and booking is essential via the list in the church foyer. The church will also hold Open Days on 6th, 13th and 20th December, from 10am – 3pm, with proceeds supporting East Anglia Children’s Hospice and church mission work.
A Christmas Quiz Night takes place on Thursday 11th December at 7pm. Teams of four can enter for £10 or £2.50 per person. Soft drinks will be available and participants may bring their own snacks. Booking is essential, to book please contact Nev on 01842 753298.
The Methodist Players and Choir present Joy to the World – Christmas Through the World of Books, produced by Wendy Sergeant, on Friday 12th and Saturday 13th December, both at 2pm. A Christmas Celebration, by Thetford Singers follows on Wednesday 17th December at 7.30pm. For ticket info see page 9. The music continues on Saturday 20th December at 2pm with Gospel Soul Collective’s concert: A Jazzy Christmas from Around the World.
Thetford Methodist Church Carol Service, led by the choir and Rev David McAloon, will be held on Sunday 21st December at 4pm, with coffee and mince pies afterwards. Christmas worship continues with Christmas Eve Communion at 9.45pm and a Christmas Day Celebration starting at 10am.
