Thetford Players Youth’s summer production of SIX: Teen Edition has won “Best Youth Production” in the region at the NODA Awards – a huge achievement for both cast and crew. It marked the directorial debut of Rowan and Nadia, who went on to direct this year’s pantomime.

Auditions saw an amazing turnout, with many new faces stepping forward and impressing the team. The final cast of 12 took on bold choreography created by Charley Holt, complicated harmonies, and the challenge of remaining on stage for the entire show. Costumes were handmade by Sophie Clara Harvey, adding to the production’s community feel while keeping to the show’s legacy of glitz and glamour.
Beyond the spotlight, the strongest legacy of SIX is the bond built between the cast. “These girls worked so hard,” said Rowan. “What we created wasn’t just a show – it was a family. Seeing the girls’ faces once the award was announced was an experience that will stay with me forever.”

Many of Six-Teen’s cast members are returning to the Carnegie stage in TP Youth’s next show, The Spongebob Musical: Youth Edition. Charley Holt returns to choreograph, with Players veteran Charlie Wilson directing for the first time. The show is not to be missed, with four performances across Friday 11th and Saturday 12th July.
