Arron Peters from STX Events is bringing a summer of live music to The Carnegie, with a line-up of tribute acts set to give Thetford its own big nights out closer to home.

A man stands behind a large professional audio mixing desk in a dimly lit venue or theatre setting. He is smiling and leaning forward with his arms resting on the console. He has a shaved head, a full beard, and is wearing glasses and a blue polo shirt. The mixing desk in front of him is covered in rows of sliders, knobs, and brightly coloured buttons, with two illuminated digital screens displaying audio levels and controls. The brand name “dLive” is visible on the console.Behind him, the stage area is visible with speakers, cables, and lighting equipment under blue stage lighting, suggesting a live music or performance environment.

For a long time, music lovers in Thetford have had to look towards Norwich or Cambridge for a big night out. This year, though, local resident Arron Peters is changing the tune. With a mission to give Thetford a reputation as a hub for live entertainment, Arron has curated a summer of shows at The Carnegie that promises to bring the community together through the power of tributes.

Arron has secured four heavy-hitting performances covering a wide spectrum of musical nostalgia, starting this summer with:

Special Kinda Madness (2nd May) – a dual tribute capturing the energy of both The Specials and Madness.
Wrong Jovi (19th June) – widely regarded as one of the best Bon Jovi tribute acts in the world, bringing stadium-sized rock to Thetford.
Ultimate RnB (27th June) – a trip back to the 90s and 00s, featuring the smooth grooves and dancefloor anthems of the “old school” era.
Pretendulum (8th August) – a high-energy tribute to Pendulum, celebrating the DnB legends with a dose of heavy bass.

They are dressed in a mix of casual and retro-inspired outfits, including hats, sunglasses, a striped blazer, and a Santa hat on one member, suggesting a themed or festive performance. The stage lighting casts a blue glow, and the audience behind them has their hands raised, indicating an energetic live music atmosphere. “Thetford has a fantastic community spirit,” said Arron. “We deserve quality live music right here in our own backyard, without the need for a long and expensive commute.”

By focusing on what he calls “the gold standard” of tribute acts, Arron hopes these summer nights will feel like the real deal. Whether you’re a ska fan, a rock enthusiast, or an RnB devotee, the message is clear: Thetford is the place to be this summer.

With tickets already selling quickly, the town is buzzing with excitement. It’s a bold move for a local promoter, but if the early response is anything to go by, this summer could be one to remember for music fans. Find links to buy tickets at www.facebook.com/stxevents or click the poster below!
