The Member of Parliament for South West Norfolk visited the Baxter manufacturing plant in Thetford to meet with the Senior Leadership Team and to discuss the vital and innovative work the organisation does as a global leader in healthcare solutions.

During a tour of their state-of-the-art facilities, Mr Jermy discussed the advanced manufacturing processes Baxter have designed and implemented, and their plans for the future.

Of the visit, Mr Jermy MP said, “Baxter’s is a name I have known for as long as I can remember. Both my parents worked there, as did I as a teenager, and I have many fond memories of attending Baxter’s family events as a child.”

“At the heart of Baxter’s is their mission to save and sustain lives, and this commitment to enhancing patient care runs through every facet of their business. I heard first-hand accounts of the team’s own experiences as patients and witnessed how deep and personal their commitment is for producing life-saving medical products.”

As one of the largest suppliers to the NHS, Baxter has a presence in almost every department in every hospital nationwide. From Thetford to the rest of the UK and beyond, Baxter is keen to demonstrate its unwavering commitment to investment, innovation and quality in healthcare manufacturing.

Mr Jermy added, “This year marks the 60th anniversary of Baxter, and as the largest employer in Thetford, it was wonderful to hear of their dedication to their staff and the local community, and their continuing investment in both.”

Matt Smith, Plant Manager for Baxter’s Thetford site, commented, “At Baxter, we take pride in being leaders in healthcare solutions, and we deeply appreciate the support and engagement from local leaders that help us in our mission of saving and sustaining lives. Thank you, Terry Jermy, for your visit and for your continued support of our efforts to enhance patient care.”
