Members of South Breckland Artists will once again open their studios to visitors this summer on Saturday and Sunday 7th – 8th June and 14th –15th June, from 11am to 4pm.

A realistic acrylic painting of three large white daisies with yellow-orange centres set against a dark black background. The flowers appear to glow with soft shading and careful attention to petal texture and light.

The trail offers a unique chance to visit artists in their homes, studios and gardens. Entry is free, with opportunities to learn about the creative process and purchase original artwork directly from the artists.

An abstract mixed media painting featuring brown, circular, spiky seed heads—possibly teasels—intertwined with fine white swirling lines. The background blends shades of blue and teal in a loose, watercolour-like wash.

With Norfolk Open Studios not taking place this year, the South Breckland Art Trail gives visitors a great way to discover the wealth of artistic talent in this corner of the county. The trail features painters, printmakers, potters, ceramicists, a rush weaver and mixed media artists—offering a truly diverse and inspiring experience for art lovers.

A vibrant, expressive watercolour painting of wildflowers. The piece features loose, flowing strokes in bright pinks, yellows, oranges, and greens, suggesting poppies and buttercups. Thin stems and splattered paint give a lively, energetic feel.

Studios are located across the villages of Garboldisham, North Lopham, South Lopham, Banham, Bressingham, Fersfield and Old Buckenham. Several artists offer commissions, workshops and hands-on experiences either in their studios or out in the landscape. The route also makes for a pleasant cycle trail, as many visitors found last year. Some studios will provide light refreshments, and there are local stops along the way, including The Fox community pub in Garboldisham. Studios will be clearly signposted.

Trail maps are available from Thetford Library, Leaping Hare, or online at:
