Vickers started his career at the Norfolk and Suffolk Motocross Club, winning his first championship titles before turning 10. He switched to tarmac racing aged 12, rising through the ranks by claiming second place in the 2016 600cc championship, and dominating the Junior Superstock Championship in 2018. In 2022, Ryan became one of the youngest competitors in the British Superbike Championship, and the following year he earned six podiums and two wins. In 2024 he reached fifth in the championship with seven wins and thirteen podiums, including a triple-win at Brands Hatch to be crowned King of Brands. His performance caught the eye of Motocorsa Racing, who promoted him to the World Superbikes stage for 2025.

Vickers showed promise adapting to the jump from national to international competition — in the opening round at Phillip Island, Australia, he scored points in two of the three races, a strong start in his first race. His best result was a seventh-place finish in the Superpole Race at Balaton Park, Hungary.

Ahead of the penultimate round in Estoril, Vickers’ team, Motocorsa, announced they would be parting ways with the rider. Team founder, Lorenzo Mauri, said: “We thank Ryan for his work and his manager, and his family. We wish him all the best for his next adventure and hope he can grow even further. Who knows, maybe he’ll return to the world championship even stronger in the future.”

Ryan finished his final round for Motocorsa with strong form, securing points in two of three rounds at Jerez, Spain. Ahead of the weekend, he announced a return to British Superbikes next year with Honda Racing. “I’m extremely proud and privileged to be joining Honda Racing at a very important time in my career,” he said. “I am really excited to be joining a team with such experience and knowledge. I know we will be able to achieve great things together.”
