Ahoy there, me hearties – all aboard for the adventure of a lifetime! Long John Silver and his fearsome crew may think that treasure is within their grasp, but they’ve reckoned without the ladies of the Smuggler’s Cove Women’s Institute! Filled with mischief, custard pies, songs and laughter, this is a voyage into panto mayhem that you definitely do not want to miss! Speaking about her first principal role, Charley Holt said, “It’s kind of scary but exciting and great to have the opportunity to show what I can do.” Charley’s character, Jenny, is the daughter of the Squire and her father wants her to join the WI. Jenny wants adventure and feels that it’s unfair that boys get all the fun, so she sneaks onto the ship and her quest begins. It takes a dedicated crew working flat out behind the scenes to ensure it’s all alright on the night.
Jo van der Hulks is Props Manager again this year, and says that she loves making things from nothing and rising to the challenge. This year is no exception with Jo tasked to create the frontage of the pirate ship!
