This November Ancient House is hosting two Christmas themed events.

A person dressed in a traditional British police uniform, including a dark tunic and a tall helmet with a badge, stands in a narrow hallway lit by warm overhead lights, looking slightly to the side with a serious expression.

On Saturday 15th November, we welcome back Thetford artist Matt Warnes for a Christmas Card Linocut Workshop. This is hot on the heels of a sold-out linocut workshop in September. Visitors will be guided through the process of creating, carving and printing designs to make their very own Christmas cards, which can then be taken home and used over the holiday season! Suitable for adults. Just £2 per person. Advanced booking encouraged due to limited spaces.

On Friday 28th November, our Teenage History Club Youth Group are joining in with Thetford Christmas Lights Switch On with a Victorian Murder Mystery running from 5pm to 8pm. Imagine stepping into a real-life Cluedo game. You’ll become a detective, meet costumed characters, gather clues and hopefully crack the crime. Along the way you’ll be able to make your own Christmas crackers and decorations, learn about forensic science and enjoy some Christmas music. Admission is free and the event is suitable for all ages.

Save the date: Father Christmas is coming to Ancient House on Saturday 6 December. Book your place on our website: https://www.ancienthouse.norfolk.gov.uk/
