The deadline for the annual Thetford calendar photography competition is fast approaching. It offers both amateur and professional photographers a chance to showcase their skills and capture the beauty of our town and community. Why not make 2025 the year you give it a go and enter some images? They must be taken in Thetford (within 2 miles of the Parish boundary) and the finished calendar is A4 landscape, so your images need to be able to fit this format.

Having started the competition in 2018, the judges have seen many lovely entries over the years. They are as keen as ever to showcase Thetford, but they also pay careful attention to how images will work for each of the different months of the year.

Top tip from the judges: think about how your images work seasonally, which months of the year could they be suitable for?

The final 12 photographs will be published in the About Thetford magazine and readers will vote for their favourite, which will take pride of place on the front cover and win £100. All finalists receive a free calendar.

Email your images to info@leapinghare.org until Saturday 31st May 2025.
