Thetford Garden Centre is once again transforming into a festive wonderland for December 2025, offering a whole host of magical experiences for families, children, and even four-legged friends.
Whether you’re visiting Santa, crafting handmade gifts, or enjoying a festive meal, there’s something for everyone to enjoy this Christmas season.
At the heart of the celebrations is the much-loved Santa’s Grotto, throughout December (with dates being booked up fast). Children can step into an enchanting grotto to meet Father Christmas, share their Christmas wishes, and take home a special gift from the man in red. Thetford Garden Centre will also host a Sensitive Santa’s Grotto for children with autism and additional needs, offering quiet 15-minute sessions tailored to provide a calm and comfortable experience. Pre-booking is essential for all grotto visits.
Back by popular demand is the ever-popular Santa Paws on Friday 5th December. Bring your dog along for a festive portrait session, complete with presents and tasty treats for every furry visitor. It’s the perfect opportunity to capture a memory with your beloved pet.
Families can also enjoy festive portrait sessions with Jim from JBS Photography on weekends across December from 10am – 4pm. Booking is free, and photos can be purchased on the day for £10. Christmas jumpers are encouraged!
For those feeling creative, Thetford Garden Centre is hosting two hands-on workshops in their cosy Yurt. On Wednesday 3rd December, visitors can craft their own Christmas wreath for £35, including all materials, tea or coffee, and a freshly baked cookie. Then, on Tuesday 16th December, instructor Tracey Baldwin from Fluffology Needle Felt will guide guests through making a felt polar bear, with refreshments included, for £39.95.
Food lovers can enjoy Supper with Santa on 17th, 18th, 19th, 22nd, and 23rd December from 5pm – 6pm, or start the day with Breakfast with Santa on 6th, 13th, 22nd and 23rd December. Both experiences include delicious meals, a visit from Santa, and a special gift for every child.
