The Honington Military Wives Choir will headline an ‘Afternoon of Song’ concert in Thetford on Saturday 21st March 2026 at Cloverfield Church & Community Hall.

The Honington choir, under the musical direction of Kelly Stretton, is one of more than 70 choirs across UK and overseas military bases. The Military Wives Choirs is a charity that brings women in the military community together through song.
With the motto ‘sing, share, support’, the Choirs’ emphasis is on inclusion, welcoming wives of serving personnel, those currently serving, veterans, mothers, sisters and daughters, and others with a military connection.
The performance has been organised by the Thetford & District Branch of the Royal Air Forces Association (RAFA) in aid of the RAFA Wings Appeal, which supports serving and former RAF personnel and their families. Branch Secretary Mandy Burchett, who has now joined the choir, said: “We’re delighted to offer local people the chance to see their local Military Wives Choir again while raising money for the Wings Appeal.”
The choir will also be joined by the youth vocal section of Thetford Players. “Members of our vocal group VocalKords will perform a mix of musical theatre numbers, including solo and group songs,” said Thetford Players Chair, Jo Cooper.
Doors open at 2.30pm for a 3pm start. Light refreshments and a raffle will be available, with all proceeds going to the Wings Appeal.
Tickets are £12 per person, available by calling 03336 663366 or visiting ticketsource.co.uk/rafathetford
Any unsold tickets will be available on the door.
