Let’s face it, none of us enjoys waiting on hold or queuing up to order repeat prescriptions. Luckily, there’s a better way! The NHS App makes managing your repeat medication quicker, easier, and stress-free… all from the palm of your hand.

With the NHS App, you can request your repeat prescriptions at any time of day, wherever you are. No more phoning the surgery during busy hours or rushing down to the surgery. All it takes is few taps on your phone and you’re sorted. It’s a safe and secure way to manage your medication, giving you confidence that your request goes straight through to your GP without any fuss.

  • Convenient: place orders any time, day or night
  • Fast: no need to call or visit the surgery
  • Secure: your information stays safe and confidential
  • Trackable: see when your prescription has been approved
  • Easy: a simple app that guides you step by step

Many patients have told us how much easier life has become since they started using the NHS App to manage their repeat prescriptions. It saves time, avoids unnecessary trips, and means you’re always in control of your medication.

That’s not all. The NHS App offers a whole range of other helpful features. You can check symptoms, receive messages, view your medical record and the app will become more important to the NHS’s move to more digital services in the coming months and years. Whilst not all patients can or want to use the App, if more who can do, this will then make it more efficient as well for those who are not able to.

Ordering your repeat prescription has never been easier. Once you download the app and link it to your NHS account, you can see your list of repeat medications, select what you need, and send the request off in seconds. If your GP approves it, your prescription goes straight to your nominated pharmacy, ready for you to collect.

How to set up:

  1. Download the NHS App from the App Store or Google Play
  2. Set up your NHS login with a few easy steps
  3. Link your account to your GP practice
  4. Start managing your health from your phone

Why not give it a try today? I am sure that this ‘App’-eals to you! Join the thousands of patients who are already ‘APP’-reciating the benefits of the NHS App and enjoy the peace of mind that comes with easy, fast, and reliable repeat medication ordering.

School Lane and the Sunset Walk 2025!

Sixteen fantastic members of the School Lane Surgery team recently took part in the St Nicholas’s Sunset Walk 2025. Covering the 10 km (and even 15 km course…well done Dr Overy!) course around Bury on a rather hot day, we were proud to walk together for such an incredible cause.

We stepped out in support of St Nicholas Hospice, whose compassionate care makes a vital difference to patients and their families, especially during the most difficult times. Taking part was our way of giving back to a service that is so important to so many people in our community.

A huge thank you goes to everyone who walked with us, cheered us on, and donated.

Thanks to your kind and amazing support, we have raised over £1,700…  a truly fantastic total that shows just how much this cause means locally.

At School Lane Surgery, we are proud to stand alongside our community in supporting services that make such a vital difference.
